  • IUGFS Classroom Named For Lee and Virginia Suttner

IUGFS Classroom Renamed for Lee and Virginia Suttner

Friday, November 1, 2019

Dr. Jim Musser congratulates Dr. Lee Suttner.

Dr. Jim Musser, associate executive dean of the IU College of Arts and Sciences, announced at the IUGFS 70th Anniversary event that the IUGFS Classroom and Technology building built in 2012 has been officially named by Indiana University as the Lee and Virginia Suttner Classroom Building.   This naming recognizes and honors Lee’s and Ginny’s many decades of service to IU and IUGFS.  Two of Lee’s and Ginny’s daughters plus many of Lee’s former students were in attendance for the announcement.  Lee gave a not-so-short talk after Dr. Musser presented him with a commemorative plaque and he received a standing ovation from the ~110 people attending the ceremony.
