Student Fees cover lodging, meals, transportation, and course materials from the time you arrive at IUGFS until you depart. The only exceptions are meals during the two field trips. There will also be opportunities for discretionary spending for recreational activities, souvenirs, etc.
A caravan of IU vehicles will travel from campus in Bloomington, IN to the field station in Cardwell, MT. Joining the caravan is optional but highly recommended! Since it is optional, there is an additional fee for the caravan to cover the cost of hotel rooms for the four nights (two nights there, two nights back). Students are also responsible for their meals during the caravan, although we try to stay in hotels that offer complimentary breakfast.
