Marcia Ring Winslow credited geology field experiences with Indiana University faculty for her choice of a career and successes in that career. In recognition of her IU geology field experiences she left part of her estate to IU to fund geology field training. The Earth and Atmospheric Sciences faculty has designated part of that money to fund scholarships at IUGFS.
